Update | February 2017

Guten Tag, friends and family! We’re back in Deutschland after a short visit back to the land of complimentary refills, political drama, and free restrooms . . . the U.S. 

It was a whirlwind 10-day trip for a friend’s wedding in Orlando with a stopover in Colorado Springs to visit family. In Florida, the wedding was lovely and it was wonderful to see friends from college; in Colorado, we loved getting to connect and share stories in person with many of you at the open house hosted by Glenn and Terri Strebe. 

In our last update, we mentioned some exciting news about our recent approved-and-signed MOU for Club Beyond in Ramstein. Over the past month, we’ve been gearing up to restart ministry in our area, and our calendars for the months ahead are filled to the brim with our ministry program and outreach events. Here’s a taste of what we have coming up:

  • Kick-off dodgeball tournament
  • Weekly high school and middle school club meetings for the rest of the semester
  • Rock climbing 
  • Rodelbahn trip (Alpine self-controlled roller coaster—yes, it’s as cool as it sounds!)
  • Ultimate Frisbee outreach event
  • Summer Camp in Scotland

And there’s even more on our calendar! But the biggest thing coming up is our high school summer camp in Scotland; our goal is to bring as many students as possible with us. The best way for that to happen is to meet as many high schoolers as we can and build relationships with them over the remainder of the semester. 

Please pray for:

  • The high school and middle school students in the KMC (Kaiserslautern Military Community).
  • The families we will build relationships with over the course of the semester. 
  • Club Beyond leadership—specifically our Executive Director, Marty, and our International Field Director, Phil, and their families. 
  • Club Beyond staff overseas as we navigate this season of ministry + additional jobs.
  • Our physical, spiritual, and emotional health.
