Update | January 2017
Dear family and friends,
Happy 2017! How does the new year feel so far? We have a new outlook, new president, new resolutions that we may or may not keep . . . but best of all, we have NEWS!
We mentioned in our previous update that we have an approved MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) for our community at Ramstein AFB. That MOU has now been officially signed, which means we have the all-clear to restart ministry!
Moving forward, Club Beyond in Ramstein will be doing both high school and middle school ministry. We (Josh and Meagan) will be focusing on high school ministry with our team.
We are preparing to begin club meetings at the beginning of March. Leading up to this we will be tabling at the Ramstein Exchange to get the word out and meet new teens and parents in the community, as well as getting ready for our kick-off event, which will be a dodgeball tournament at the end of February.
But wait, there’s more!
Our other exciting news is that we’re going to be in the US for a short visit at the beginning of February! We’re coming back to Orlando for a few days for a friend’s wedding, and then visiting Colorado Springs for a few days before we fly back to Germany. We have a pretty tight schedule this trip but we’d love to hang out—please let us know if you’d like to meet up!
For our Colorado people: Josh’s parents, Glenn and Terri Strebe, will be graciously hosting an open house at their home, during which we would love to catch up with any friends and family available in Colorado Springs. Please keep an eye out for an e-vite that will be heading to your inbox soon!
If you are willing, please pray for:
- Club Beyond’s new season of military teen ministry at Ramstein AFB.
- Continued positive relationships with our chaplains and local peers in youth ministry.
- Preparing teen hearts to receive the love and word of Jesus Christ.
- Strength for Club Beyond staff entering a new season of ministry while working part-time jobs.
- Our physical, spiritual, and emotional health.
Friends and family, thank you for your continued support during what has felt like a desert season. We have felt so encouraged through your faithfulness in spreading God’s kingdom.
Hope to see you soon!
